With the encouragement of my friend, Sheila, I'm submitting my drawing to Sunday Postcard Art. It began as an 8X10 art journal page...which I took to LunaPic and resized to 6X4. NOT an easy task for me. I tried to do the adjustment in iphoto first...since that's what I have on my computer...but I guess I'm really challenged because I couldn't even find an area in 'help' to walk me through it. Oh well. I did have QUITE the challenge, even in LunaPic and was so glad when my son-in-law popped in and helped me with it. EEE GADDS! So, hopefully this will qualify...as the above picture was DEFINITELY a challenge for me to get it to the correct size!!! But, hey, I learned. Mainly, I learned that I won't try this again for awhile. I'd rather make an entry of the correct size to begin with. HAHAAA!
Create Your Life,
annie!
PS - I'd really love to say that this is my design...but I was looking at a Christmas card and trying to duplicate it. Both pictures are shown together here.

Well done, annie! This painting is just so beautiful. Liked your resizing story too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila! I really did have a difficult time with it...but I DID learn!

ReplyDeleteThanks Annie. :) I sell a little and am taking a huge step in opening an Etsy store. I appreciate your vote of confidence.
DeleteOh, this is a gorgeous one, Annie!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne!
DeleteBeautiful! (Sometimes 'birthing' a new piece can be painful! lol)
ReplyDeleteAs you well know from the kissy fish! Thanks Robin!
DeleteHello Annie, love your postcard..and that you managed to resize it..im terrible at such things!
ReplyDeleteI'm terrible too! Worse than terrible. You and me...we'll stick together.
DeleteThis art piece is perfect for winter elegance!
ReplyDeleteThank you Annie. :)
DeleteI love it and I love that you persisted with the technology to make the submission. Good work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Char! Don't think I'll go there again anytime soon. Too busy researching 'stuff' for Etsy to spend ALL that TIME on the computer. Which I already do enough of!!!
Deletebeautiful painting, debi x
ReplyDeleteThanks Debi!
DeleteSuch a beautiful painting, Annie. Wish my Winter looked like this - in the UK it's just very, very grey.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Maybe that's what the flower gardens need there to thrive?!? Where I live, it's non stop sun, heat and humidity...but I think I prefer it over cold and grey.
DeleteAnnie, this is so lovely. You are such a talent.
ReplyDelete:) Thank you Autumn. :)
DeleteWOw! Wonderful drawing, just love it! Kim

ReplyDeleteThank you Eileen!
DeleteIt complies beautifully! I love your resizing story, mainly because it makes me feel like I have company :)
ReplyDeleteI dont care that you had inspiration from a card, this work is yours. Love it!
Thank you, thank you Liz! I was told when I was little that I couldn't draw...and believed it until I was in my 50s!!! So...now I attempt to draw but usually from a picture. Still don't have the confidence to sit down and draw from memory!
DeleteOh I am so glad that you entered! Your drawing is fabulous! I LOVE IT!!! What a talent you are! Sending hugs and wishes for a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteWow. Thanks so much Andrea!
DeleteBeautiful painting, and beautiful choice Annie!
ReplyDeleteKeep drawing as much as you can.
Confidence will come! :)
Thanks Sim. Double thanks.
Deleteoh, you are so good, even at drawing, this is so lovely, and the snow is so realistic!
ReplyDeleteAw...thanks Gio!
DeleteI have to say that I love your version of the setting, it turned out quite lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful blog and the photos of your beach trip are amazing! Funny how we take our own surroundings for granted:)
Take good care and blessings to you!!!
Thank you Patti! :) I really love my pictures and blogging is a great way for me to share them! After living here for almost 3 years, I don't believe I'll ever take a LoT of things for granted again.
DeleteYou are so amazingly talented! I love it. It makes me want to walk into the scene and breathe it all in
ReplyDeleteWell thank you so much! That's how I felt when the little cardinals first drew me into the Christmas card I used for inspiration.
DeleteHappy New Year! Lovely painting...praying for DS. Adriann
ReplyDeleteAdriann!!! I was thinking about you today and wondering "where oh where has my Adriann gone". Good to hear from you!!! Happy New Year to you and yours! Thanks so much.
DeleteAnnie, this is lovely! I know what you mean about resizing. I can crop pictures, but when it comes to having fewer megapixels, forget it. I have no idea what they're talking about. I have to hope the program will do it for me.
ReplyDeleteYou understand! Thank you. :) If I could have plugged 6x4 into the program...no problem.
DeleteThis is absolutely beautiful! Your talemnt is amazing....I adore the bird...my favorite, but it is all wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharon! I really appreciate your lovely comment. Cardinals are my favorite too!
DeleteWhat a lovely wintery scene. Well done! You make me long for snow!
ReplyDeleteThanks Caatje! I long for snow at times too. It's 84 right now with an expected low of 75 tonight...so don't think I'll be seeing any soon! Hope you get some!
