and seeing things with new eyes again.
Looking for beauty where it can be found.
And finding it!
I'm thrilled to say I sold my Pepsi sign listed on Etsy...
and I'm slowly adding other items...
Like the angel above that I made from found items while in the States.
And possibly a few of my bohemiannie! bags.
I'm posting pictures of this one
to show to my daughter in TX
to see if she wants it. :)
annie!
annie, I came here thinking I was going to see the start of an art calendar journal. :-) No such luck, but I did get lucky to see your lovlies you've been working on.
ReplyDeleteI have these pictures from last week to post, and stuff to list on Etsy ever since I finished it this morning, and grandbabies to hold and play with, and hubby to hold and play with, and house and cooking...and then the page to BEGiN...but I'm looking forward it!
DeleteAll sorts of cute things to look at here today! I love the cat on the fence and the bag is fun too!! Happy creating!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynn! The cat was HUGE. If I'd been in FL, I may have mistaken him for a panther...and he was chillin on the roof of a house we passed. The bag was pure fun! But then, most art is!
DeletePS (LOTS of termites here...as evidenced in that roofline).
Love your photos with fresh eyes on the neighbourhood. The chap with the donkey cart looks a little suspicious of you though, or is that his 'I'm cool look'? lol. I'm sure your daughter will want the bag when she sees it, after all her mother's made it :) ybf ann.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann! Most of the time when I snap a picture of the Colombians...they LOVE it, but you're right...this guy was less than excited. :) I hate to say it...but many of them are thieves and don't want to be identified. When we were broken into year before last...it was a donkey cart that got away with the goods. :)
DeleteI love the bright colours of your Bag..It looks so happy and cheerful. love to see the photos of your neighbourhood. You are right, often we don't recognise the things around us as beautiful unless we stop to use our eyes. The Donkey looks a bit sad, although most donkeys rarely look happy I guess. Im sure your daughter will love the bag :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Morag! I hear them braying - often and always feel sorry for them. We live in an apartment now...but when we had the house and I heard one coming up the hill, I'd go get a carrot or apple for them. I think the owner's thought I was crazy.
DeleteCool angel! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin. She's one that I've had hanging around for awhile now and the beginning of 'letting all my stuff go'.
DeleteGorgeous creations Annie... loving the bag... and lovely post about finding beauty with fresh eyes... a beautiful reminder to us all...
ReplyDeleteJenny ♥
Thanks so much Jenny! I'm getting ready to move away from Colombia and so I'm going picture crazy again...like the first year I lived here. :)
DeleteLOVE your art!!! So colorful and alive!! Great pics at the beginning of your blog..around the hood!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jay! So happy you stopped by. :)

ReplyDelete:) Thanks Char!
DeleteSounds like you are most happy. Love that pink wall with graffiti.....xox
ReplyDeleteThanks Corrine...I am. The wall mural looks like a peace sign to me. I had never noticed it before - but hadn't been down that street very often either.
Deletelove your playful pink bag...so much fun!! I am sure your daughter will be thrilled !! love to see the photos and my favorite is the sleeping cat ;) greez from Conny
ReplyDeleteThank you Connie! That alley cat was chillin. :)
DeleteLove the kitty! and...sigh....once again I so admire how creative you are. There is such freedom and joy in your work. I want to know how to do that!! Congrats on your Etsy sale! I hope there are lots more to come :)))
ReplyDeleteKitty! That was a panther! LOL! I don't know where it comes from?!? My parents and siblings often wondered about where I came from! Thanks so much!
DeleteYour neighborhood looks very nice!
ReplyDeleteCompared to mine, krkrkr!
And your sewing art is very unique! :)
Thanks Sim! I edited the pix of the neighborhood. :)
DeleteThanks for the pretty, not scary, photos this time. You can't go wrong with a cat and one of your very different bags.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila! I guess I've gotten used to them! That cat, on the other hand, was a character I wouldn't want to tangle with!
DeleteYou are so creative! Your work and you view point inspires me :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a really nice thing to say. Thanks so much. xxooxx
DeleteOh, I love that bag! I love that bag very much! Your daughter should love it too, tell her I said so. And...beter late than never...happy new year to you!
