Evolution 2k12 |
You've rarely seen my play room...or tables in such disarray...but I'm a busy girl these days! (Heck, I hardly ever see it this messy and I live here)!
And -
Sophia hasn't been over for way too long (this is day 3) because annie! grandma is fighting a sore throat, fever etc...
So I've been using my free time wisely.
Working on my next altered book...
inspired by Effy Wild's Book of Days
My version of Book of Days |
finally getting busy with a project inspired by my dear Jennibellie
this is still the book of days project - not Jennibellies |
As much as I love you too...
Since I'd rather be arting RIGHT Now...
I'm off to do just that!
Create my life that is!
Let the magic in you...
Come OUT!
Book title...EVOLUTION 2K12 |

ReplyDeleteThank you Jan!!! I'm feeling great today! And the arting DID do it. Kept my mind off the crud and into the magic!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Neki! The piece that looks like wire is actually a thread from a bit of fabric I bought right after halloween a few years ago. You know how the fabric stores put out special fabrics for costumes? Well...this is one of those!) I like that the thought of wire came to you though!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jude! I wish you the same! And everything your heart desires!!!

ReplyDeleteThanks Maria! The color is not my usual scheme...but as I just told a friend...I picked up the 'blue/green' bin of paint this time because...well...it told me to. :)I'm thinkin it's part of that evolution thing...but that's another post!!!

ReplyDeleteIs a wonder his study with so much light and space...not me strange seaweed and hence a job well done. Saludos
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful space and your work is fabulous. Glad you feeling better, I am just recovering from a nasty bug that laid us all low over the festive season. Have a happy and healthy 2012. Annex
ReplyDeleteLa Abela...thank you so much for your awesome note in English! We don't have an oven, a clothes dryer or air conditioning (and it's 84 right now at 5:30pm and humid always) BUT, I DO have this marvelous Light and Spacious room for all my art. I'm not sure what you meant by strange seaweed but it's put a smile on my face. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne! Double. I hope you're feeling better and back to above normal by the time you get this note!!! The same back to you for the very best in this awesome new year!
ReplyDeleteLoving the texture! Can't wait to see how your book comes along.

ReplyDeleteLove your cover art, spectacular!!!! Thanks for showing off your "playroom". I'm jealous, you have more toys than me,lol!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Geckostone! So much! IF I have more than you...it's because for 3 years prior to moving here (Barranquilla, Colombia), I collected like a mad woman. And then paid a fortune to get it all here. Thankfully, it was mostly purchased at yard sales for a fraction of retail!
ReplyDeleteTime is a construct that you invent, you have lots of time!!!!! xox Corrine
ReplyDeleteYou are SO right Corrine!!! I'm learning and sometimes I forget the important stuff. I HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD...AND I'M SO VERY THANKFUL FOR IT!!!

I love the style of your work. And your enthusiasm. I find that the BOD project is creating that community on-line that I've been wanting for a long time. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Deb! I made the same type of comment to another friend about the beautiful community I find in BOD. It's awesome and so inspiring. So glad you stopped by!
ReplyDeleteVery cool pieces! Looking great!
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton Eva!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better. Love your art and your studio. It just looks used and that is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteNicole/Beadwright
Thank you Beadwright! I feel Great! My studio IS VERY used...and I love it that way! (It's the main reason why I feel better)!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOU TOO!!! I can't wait to see everything finished! You're BOD's is ultra gorgeous, I love the book you have chosen, colours make it all *POP* beautifully. Off to catch up on your other gorgeous posts, (PS is that a WHOLE tub of just pink paints???! lucky girl if so lol)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennibellie! :) My BOD will take a year or so and really, my muse is leading me in directions I don't always take...cool, huh?!? I'm loving it...but my Jennibellie art journal has me over the moon with happiness!!! And yes...those are all shades and tints of pink. I purchased much of my paint at yard sales and just add a little water if they get goopy...so not a huge investment unless you count the blissful hours I spent looking for treasure!
