I love altered books and you do a fantastic job. You are very talented in all areas of art!
ReplyDeleteGreat altered books. Lots of work involved there, but awesome.
ReplyDeleteLove your story about how your word chose you! I have just begun a 90-day meditative process and am hoping for some new things to open up creatively. Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteHi Denni. Thank you so much! I really appreciate the encouragement!
ReplyDeleteThanks again Gloria!!! I totally appreciate you visiting!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Geri! I love how it chose me too! I had thought meditate was it because I really want to develop that in my life. (I’m up to about 40 seconds of real focus before I zone out). Anyway…I will continue to practice and you know what they say…”Practice Makes Perfect”. Let me know how your process is working! Happy, Happy to you too!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Vicki! I recognized your name right away because I really love your work...even if I don't always comment on it! Thanks so much for your compliment! Especially about the part where I got you excited!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin! The color is not my usual...but I just picked up the 'blue/green' bin of paint this time because...well...it told me to. :)I'm thinkin it's part of that evolution thing...but that's another post!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, this book looks fascinating. I feel like I could get totally lost in it. Beautiful color scheme too.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I know that feeling - the "I'm meant to be doing this" one. If you love creating books, you should join the postcard challenge. More about it here. It's not too late as we only started this week. A postcard a week to go in a book - a bit like Nick Bantock's Sabine & Griffin.

Thanks so much Netty! I love that word...Smashing!
ReplyDeleteThank you Carlarey! I DO totally get lost in making it...and LOVE every minute!!! As I said to Robin - in comments above - this color scheme chose ME! It's not my usual! Isn't it fun to try new things?!?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much WrightStuff! I'll check into the postcard challenge. I think a blogger friend is doing that too. I'm just not sure if I can keep up with what I want to do if I join anything else...but I will go enjoy what everyone is up to!!!
ReplyDeleteTags and book/journal pages...two of my favorite things to look at. These are gorgeous! Love the colors and layering!
ReplyDeleteThank you Magpie! I really appreciate your compliment!
ReplyDeleteAs usual.......love it! Fun to see you work in a different medium. Can still see the YOU in it though.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gayle! I'm not sure when I'll get back to fabric! This is addicting!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are just fab-U-lous! So pretty and creative! Thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeleteThank you Terrie! and YW!!
ReplyDeleteoh the green and gold are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented! I love to make things like this and have gotten away from it. I just maybe will get back to it again. But I will add my tatting to it. I love the contrast.
ReplyDeleteagain, Daniele...thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda! I hope you will get back to 'it' because if you're anything like me...my heart is just singing these days...I added a piece of lace to one of the tags and when plan more of the same. I tried tatting YEARS ago and got about 4 inches done in the same time it took both my neighbors to do a few feet each!!! Whew. I admire anyone that can handle that very beautiful art.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that your art tells you what to do. I try to explain that about the fabric I work with but most folks just give me "that look". I like the blues and greens you are working with on this on. Very different from what I've seen of your usual style.
ReplyDeleteLove your word, "evolution" and your art is beautiful, love the tuck in tags, soooooo creative you are!!!!!Deb
ReplyDeleteOh yummy pages and tags.....keep moving... xox Corrine
ReplyDeleteThanks waggonswest! I'm so excited I'm finding it hard to sit still. Pretty much why I spend time on the computer! The greens and blues are way out of my norm...but they're so delicious that it makes me wonder why!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks again Deb! I really, really appreciate your motivation via your lovely compliments!!!
ReplyDeleteGosh Corrine!!! I couldn't stop right now if I wanted to!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful... I love the details and thought that go into your altered book (and those little birdies are such a fun addition)!
