ANOTHER GIFT...


While on vacation...

I made another little door knob quilt


 for a very generous online friend


 by the name of Ann Lindsey.


 I found her work 

on FLICKR

and began following her blog posts


 and LOVE her art


 and attitude.


 She sent me the most wonderful art post card...

designed just for me.


When I made this scrappy little thank you gift...

I was delighted to find an Annie charm to put on it.


 At first I thought it was for me...

but realized quickly that it would go on Annie's quilt.

    What a fun door knob quilt and I do like the concept of a doorknob quilt. Yours and Annie's work are so different, but I love both and I like that you each make such attractive and distinctive small scale textile art.

      Thanks Sheila. I found that I had so many quilts on the wall and when I began making my first series of mini's...that was the name that popped into my head...because I found myself hanging them on the door knobs all over the house. :) Annie's style is very different...and I love her work!

    My artfully lovely doorknob quilt (as well as my sweet beauty of a bookmark)now decorate my sewing space and inspires me. Such beautys made by annie! for my very own!     Hi Annie: I love your blog name. My old one was Bohemian Artist! Yours is adorable. Such a beautiful and sweet gift. I really love the name heart...good thing her name was Annie too!       Thanks so much Samara. :) I was told most of my life that I was bohemian...or had a bohemian style and didn't know what it meant until a few years ago. I guess they were right! And since the last two letters of the word are the first two of mine....well, it just seemed natural. I honestly don't remember what I said in my comment last week...but I'm going right now to look at your blog again! Thanks so much for your lovely compliment.
