THE OTHER HALF...

I'm showing off again with all these pictures.

Can't help it.

I really love this journal.

It's kind of funny because I don't always

(usually)

love them until they come together as a book.

What a difference it makes to get them bound and all the tags stuck into their slots and pockets.

And to realize...again...that it was made out of TRASH!!!

Now...all I need is enough nerve to write in it.

front cover

As you can see from the following picture (which I forgot to include in this post)...of my latest altered book page -

my handwriting isn't very wonderful.

This and the following two art journal pages are ones I've shown before...but keep tweaking.

Sounds like practice coming on!

Create Your Life,

annie!

And...since art journals are one of my favorite things, I'm linking up to Jenn's Artist's Play Room. (Go!!! You'll love it!!!)

  5. OOh, I love it too!! Talented and good taste, it's always lovely to fall in love with your own work. It's like hugging yourself.

Thanks so much for sharing it on APR!!! I'm so lucky to get to show such amazing work every week, I really didn't expect APR to bring such truly great depth of work. A very talented artist friend of mine complimented APR for just that, she joins nearly every week because she loves the other artist's work that her work gets to "hang out" with. lol.

If you send me your email I have a file that I can't mention here that you might like to "Read" since you said you can't get mail where you are.
    Best,
    Jenn

    1. Thank you Jennifer! And you’re more than welcome! THANK YOU!!! I love what I’m seeing at APR too and have finally gotten to the place where I have time to visit the other artists. I don’t like to join a ‘linky’ unless I know I have that. So…off to browse!!!

  10. The unmarked page is always a challenge. It holds all the possibles in the universe which can be wiped away by the first touch of pen or pencil. I'm trying to look at it like teaching... You labor all day and focus on the ones who don't get it forgetting that you may never know how far a student may travel on the slightest word of encouragement or unintentional inspiration. Without trying the possibles have no chance and the unheard words remain still.

    1. Thank you Karianne! I guess I still have that teacher’s voice in the back of my head that said my handwriting wasn’t so good. I used one of those thin metal sealers that you peel off the top of a coffee can to cut out the flower.  It was coffee we opened at my son’s house…so as with everything else in the book…brings good memories.
