Happy Mother's Day!!!
I wanted to show you the pictures of my completed art journal but there are so many it'll have to be two posts!
I can't help but say, "I love it"!
This is the journal that I worked on while in the States last month.
The one that I used as my sample during the workshop that I taught at Marlene's studio.
I used only materials that I picked up AFTER leaving for the airport on the way to FL.
With the exception of a few pieces of painted cardboard left over from another project.
Most of my supplies came from yard sales. The only thing that I bought new..was glue.
I loved teaching this workshop and can't wait to see pictures from the ladies who are hopefully finishing up their art journals!!!
Create Your Life,
PS - I'm linking to Pink Saturday since there IS a lot of pink in my journal! AND...a great new, fun, linky website that goes by the name Craft-O-Maniac!
How I love stopping by your blog and seeing so many wonderful photos of beautiful art! It's like visiting a wonderful art gallery. I am a lover of the color pink and I see so much beautiful pink in your pieces. Makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Maggie! I love all color but pink will always hold a special place! I’m off to see your blog!
DeleteLOVE this! I want to reach into the monitor and flip through it's pages. Just yummy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin! Now to get up the gumption to actually write in it!
DeleteI love it! Art journaling is one of my most favorite things!!!
ReplyDeleteHPS!
xxDaniella
Thank you Daniella!

One I Made Earlier Today
Thank you Lynn! What a beautiful thing to say. Come visit anytime. A VISA lasts 90 days and my welcome lasts even longer!!!
DeleteWow Annie! I can't believe you found all those pieces on your trip, it's brilliant. How did you hold the pages together btw?
ReplyDeleteRemember…this journal was made from what most people throw away so it was easy to collect supplies. I found all kinds of goodies at yard sales but you also have to remember that my eye is trained to look for stuff like that!!! I used cord from necklaces that I found (a quarter for three of them) for the three signatures. Jennibellie’s videos show the technique I used on this book. Thanks so much!
DeleteWhat a unique and wonderful journal. So very creative. It is so vibrant and cheerful. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Happy Pink Mother’s Day!
DeleteI just love this project. I am absolutely caught by the idea of making something with items found during a specified time. I have been endlessly pondering how to do something following that rule.
ReplyDeleteThanks Char! I love it too. It’s such a fun challenge. I do it in my playroom pretty often by only allowing myself to use certain items. Once when a friend came to spend a couple nights, I gave her a bag of tiny scraps and challenged her to make a quilt out of it using a technique that I showed her. She made a small but GORGEOUS flower garden quilt which later won an award!
DeleteNow I am intrigued. What was the technique?
DeleteWow, your art journal pages are amazing!! I loved doing those, it's so fun to just play and experiment! My downfall is the actual journaling...I have tendinitis issues...Have fun with yours!! Happy Pink Saturday!! ~Lorraine ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteThank you Lorraine! Play is the key word here! I approach all of my art with playing in mind and I can honestly say…it’s all fun…all the time! My downfall is that once I complete a journal…I don’t want to mess it up by writing in it!!!
Deletewow, these are really awesome. I've never tried anything like this...not much talent. I love all the bright colors.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much BJ. I really don’t think it takes much talent and I’m sure you could make them. This one is made from cardboard…from food boxes and the like. I’ve also made them out of Christmas cards. There are tons of tutorials on YouTube. Jennibellie is my favorite!
DeleteI don't think I could even attempt this....you are amazing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday to you!
blessings,
karianne
