WANT SOMETHING NEW TO READ?

With all the whining I've been doing about the quilt...I'm surprised you're still reading...

but I'm SO happy and thankful that you're here. Your encouragement keeps me going. I mean...really.

It used to just be my Art Groups (*and) back in Florida that motivated me...but now it's YOU! And of course...I just purely love art. Love it!

I'll be teaching a Fabric Book workshop for 2 days in St. Pete Beach, FL at the end of September and so I've been getting myself back into "book mode". I think there are still a couple seats left if you're in the area and want to attend. Just send an email if you're interested.

All of the pictures in this post are 'in progress'. It's come a long way since I took these pix last week...
and still has a long way to go...but I'm loving every minute of working on it and ready to begin another one!!! I LOVE MAKING BOOKS!

Create Your Life,

annie!

    1. Oh man, I feel like that's all I've done with it. Letting out all of my insecurities about Claire's quilt, is, in a way, whining to me!

Thanks Char! The book doesn't really look like that anymore!

    1. I wish you could be here too Ann!!! Wouldn't that be awesome?!? We'd get Robin (PinkHouseStudio) and Morris…and William…and just have FUN!!! Thanks for your encouragement and compliment. ") I do often think about an online workshop…but just haven't gotten serious about thinking about it. A few others have asked though…so maybe…while Hillary is on maternity leave, since I'll have more time (MAYBE) I'll see what percolates.

  4. I've never actually seen one of these books in person, but I sure do like the look of them and the idea. I must figure it out for myself and get started on one as a continual work in progress...because that's what it probably will ever be. And because I cannot come to your class. Insert sad face here.

    1. I wish you could come too. How wonderful it'd be to meet in person! I KnOW you can figure out how to do one. I made my first several of them without knowing about youtube…or blogs…or anything. I've still only ever seen them in magazines (except my own) and every time I used to start one, I didn't know where it was going. Can't wait to see what you come up with! I bet it'll have birds in it!

    1. I can't wait either! It's so very cool that the magazines you sent are full of fabric book ideas!!! Can you tell I like pink? LOL! I always seem to reach for those colors when I'm playing with paint and I don't think I'll ever run out.

Yep…we would have a blast! Gonna have to see if we can all meet up at one of those big art festivals…or maybe an artsy cruise. MMMMM.

  9. I think of everything you make I still like your fabric books the best, but that may just be because I'm a book maker/journaler myself. I wish I could take your class, but it's a bit too far away. ;-)

    1. Well…it IS a small world after all. But yep - unfortunately - a bit too far away. Maybe next time. I think I've come to love making books best too (and door knob quilts)…because it's ALL play…NO pressure. Thank you Caatje. :)
