Ermmmmm WOW!!! How incredible are these? I honestly don't know how you do it (but then I can't stitch in a straight line! lol) You made three of these? incredible work annie dear, thanks so much for sharing, hugs Jennibellie x
ReplyDeleteAdorable monkey quilt! You have such a talent for combing fabrics to tell a narrative! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts, so love how you've put these so magically together. Happy PPF, x
ReplyDeleteWow! this quilt is fantastic...not only do I like the great colour but also the way you have put in the monkey and his expression - great!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jennibellie and Robin! I've been sewing since I was 14 and I'm still sloppy but it gets the job done. :)I simply pick up the next piece of fabric - that comes close to working - off the top of my bin and get lucky!
ReplyDeleteThanks Netty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann! I drew the monkey while looking at some of Sophia's books! Wish I could come up with stuff like that on my own! Glad you like it! :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous quilt! Fun and so well done!
ReplyDeleteDitto what everyone else said!!!!!! I love that mr monkey is hanging upside down. You must have a speed needle on your machine!!!
ReplyDeleteFAntastic! I love them. And my favourite colour too. I like the way it comes out of the frame, I love the curvy plants at the bottom and the foliage on the tree is a wild and wonderful mass of line and texture.
ReplyDeleteThanks Eva! And Gayle...and Lorik!
ReplyDeleteYes...that monkey was moving fast but my Juki is faster! :)Glad you enjoyed the quilt!
So whimisical Annie! Great good fun. xox Corrine
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilting, Annie. I love the amazing colors and the darling monkey.

Thanks Corrine! I can’t wait to get back from vacation (and we don’t even leave until later this week) so I can make more…of something!
ReplyDeleteThanks SO much Faye!
ReplyDeletewow, you do beautiful work, how exciting to paint with cloth! Brilliant,, I love fiber art and art quilts, something I've never done,
ReplyDeleteSoooo cute!! Love it.
ReplyDeleteFunky funky quilts. Glad you son is coming home.
ReplyDeleteThis is quilt art. Quilt art is so amazing to me. I am awed by it. I'm itching to do some of it. Blessings, Janet PPF
ReplyDeleteAaaah... Now I get it! He is fantastic. I absolutely love it. I like the way you use the patterns in the fabric. I had to look at the plants at the bottom a couple times to understand what you had done. You take the fabric patterns and them into something completely different and they become part of the quilt. In most quilts, the fabric pattern is the quilt. Your quilts look past the pattern and make it something more. Really impressive.
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern, quilting seems like fun.Never done it, blogs is full of inspiration
ReplyDeleteMagnificent bedding with beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally amazed how you manage to make a painting with just fabric. :) Love it!
ReplyDeleteWow I am overwelmed, this is soooooo incredibly wonderful!!!!So much detail, wow, you are major talented!!!Can't wait to see more here! Deb
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton Ann!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosie! Funky is my middle name. :) And we are thrilled beyond words that Bear is home!
ReplyDeleteHi Laurie! Thank you so much for the lovely compliment. I've always wanted to be a painter but mostly I just make a mess - unless painting fabric! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you JKW. What a nice thing to say. :) If I can be of any help...just send an email!
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton waggonswest. :)You make it sound like I thought all of that out...but really, I collage by the seat of my pants!
ReplyDeleteThank you hellopalz! I love the whole process...but then again...I love the way you sketch and can't or don't - or maybe won't try it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Leovi!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Natasha May! Your goddesses amaze me. It's easy to cut fabric and lay it down with thread...but to come up with beautiful, expressive faces and figures and surroundings the way YOU do is something else!
ReplyDeleteWow Deb- Thanks!!! Too many comments like that and I'm gonna think I'm the sh...um...something else!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love how you cut out the fabric and made your shapes, etc. Great job.
