I've gotten a lot of mileage out of this fabric book in regards to posting
but I'm really kinda glad to finally show you the progression of the back cover.
When I make a fabric book, I don't always think too much about which pages will go where until they're almost complete.
I've found that the important thing...
for the last page...
is to have it fairly embellishment-free...
mainly because I'm none to gentle in the handling of my books.
This one, People Let Your Light Shine,
has some of the lyrics to the song by Jesse Colin Young, free motion stitched on each page.
I thought I had the order where I wanted it before I sewed in the words...
but it got switched up a bit.
No big.
Unless you're really looking it doesn't make any difference. (And even then it wouldn't).
But I do love those lyrics and this song has been in my head now for weeks.
People let your light shine.
Come on now let it shine.
Come on let it shine on.
All night and day.
We all got a light inside.
People how can we survive
If we don't let it shine
All night and day?
Somethin to think about...for sure.
Let your light shine...
annie!
Fun to see the progression, it’s a very cool book! (I like the seashell lighthouse too!)
ReplyDeleteThank you! The lighthouse is in front of the Beacon B&B where we stayed...just across the street from McDs...and I'm SURE you've seen it...especially since you felt like you were there. :)
