It's encouraged me to make more quilts based on pictures I've taken. I have SOOO many quilts to get busy with!!!
My son-in-law, Pedro, took the picture below in the Everglades when he, Hillary and Sophia were on an air boat.
this is a picture of my well used copy of Pedro's picture |
So...I began work on Jerry's alligator in March of 2k10. (My hubby LOVES alligators about as much as any person can).
I put it aside - for the past year and a half - because I just wasn't happy with it. But I took it out last week when I finished My Happy For No Reason Book and while still surrounded by the euphoria which that piece produced...
I got to work and finished it today!!! Yay-hey hey!!!
Label included!
Just need to go find a dowel - or something - to hang it from.
I'm off to begin the next project!!!!!!!
I think you have done a brilliant job of this Annie. It looks so real.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann!!! I feel so excited about it being finished. I feel like I’m ready to conquer the world!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, annie! This is just fabulous! I LOVE every little piece and stitch! I've been sitting here pouring over every square inch! WONDERFUL!
ReplyDeleteWow. That is amazing. You've really brought the alligator to life using fabric. I can't wait to see what you do next.
ReplyDeleteThat is so great. Your alligator even looks a little more ominous than the one in the photograph!
ReplyDeleteThanks SO much Robin! I can't wait to get started on the next one!
