PAINT PARTY FRIDAY - TRANQUILITY STYLE

Since I have a boat load of vacation pictures to show...

and pictures of a door knob quilt made last month, I thought I'd join PPF with my painted fabric piece, Tranquility.

Starting with several small scraps (the body on this one is only about 10" X 11")

I used some of my favorite colors

And played with acrylics on fabric.

I didn't plan any 'scenes'

But I could immediately see the view from the trees -on top of the hill - of the winding river

And had so much joy laying down fabric and thread

in the production of the ONLY quilt that I've ever made that my hubby asked me if he could keep!!!

ps (the purple border on the bottom is part of the waistband of an old pair of silk pants that I cut up for the silk)

How cool is that?!?

Create your life...

annie!

PS (I've entered a quilt into a contest at Quilting Gallery and would love for you to go there and vote for your favorites. Mine is entitled...The Kiss - pictured below)
