BACK IN COLOMBIA

On one hand...it was fabulous to be back to my girls here in Colombia.

On the other, I miss my hubby...and Florida.

Hubby on the left...baby brother on the right.
Jerry stayed behind to close the loan on the house and it'll be 3 weeks before I see him again.

my last look at St Pete until May

I'm a strong, independent woman but I gotta tell ya...after being with him for 35 years...with very little time apart...I'm Missing him!!!

A peek at the prayer flag I made to hang at the new house.

The girls will keep me busy though.

OMGoodness it was good to see them!

another project completed while in FL - more later
Sophia spent the last two nights with me...school nights no less...and instead of being sad, we've decided to make the most of NOW.

We've been practicing that for the past couple years...and I know it will keep us happy and healthy and strong.

YEP...it was cold enough in FL for the restaurant we ate at...to light a fire!
Claire Bear cried the first time I held her. Boo Hoo. She forgot her annie! grandma.

Tampa Bay where it meets the Gulf of Mexico.

But today...just before the kids all left for the weekend...she was her usual, happy, trusting self.

can you guess what this is a picture of?

I have tons of work to do here before moving...so I may not be online a lot...or commenting as much as I like to on your posts...

The Skyway Bridge...as seen 1 1/2 miles from the house...closest boat ramp.

but I'll be visiting every chance I get and looking forward to...at the very least...catching up with your lives and art.

The pictures in this post are, of course, from my last couple weeks in Florida.

stairs leading up to the garage apt where we stayed
More Art pictures coming soon!

Create Your Life,

annie!

  1. 'What gorgeous photos! I'm glad you found a home...hard to do! Glad you got to go back and visit your peeps! FUN! If you live in St. Pete, I have a few artsy friends in the area who also blog. If you want a group to craft with or show you around or tell you where to shop that kind of thing, drop me a line. Good luck!

    1. Thanks So much Anita! What a very wonderful offer! I'd love to meet your artsy friends! Can you give me their blog addresses? I may already know them since we lived in the Tampa Bay area for a couple years before moving to Colombia.

    1. Thanks Robin. I had some strange idea that it would be kinda cool to live alone for awhile...but it's not all that great in my opinion! But...I will enjoy my time with the girls. They're gone this weekend so that'll give me a chance to rest up before they have me running.

  6. Enjoy your time in Columbia, annie!. Florida looks beautiful and I'm really glad you have found your home there. I am enjoying your Florida pictures - we are having yet another very dull day of rain and chill.

    1. Thanks Sheila! I can't believe how long it's been since Colombia has had rain. It's so dusty and dry here...even with the high humidity. But...rainy season should be here any time now...and I'm actually looking VerY forward to it! Florida is...simply...beautiful.

  7. I know I would be missing my hubby too. Isn't it wonderful to be married to your best friend?!! I continue to be inspired by how you are able to seek out the beauty around you wherever you go and then share it with us.

    1. Thanks Starr. I don't think we would've made it for 35 years if we weren't best friends! I can't help but find beauty in FL. I must say though...outside of the children...I'm having a hard time seeing it here in Colombia since my return.

  8. Hey Annie :D Lovely pictures! You always show us so much beauty, thank you. I'm loving the gecko fencing btw!
As busy as you seem to be, the next three weeks will fly by and you will be back with your love before you know it. I too am lucky enough to be married to my best friend. 24 years this year. Have fun with the wee ones and store up those memories whilst you're there :0) Mo xx

  9. Wishing you Godspeed in getting everything wrapped up. Looking forward to you getting settled back on the Gulf. I shared your "It's A Shore Thing" at one of my Google+ groups, Main Street Art. It's owned by a woman in UT.

    Take care,
    Sandi

    1. Well thanks so much Sandi! I'll have to check out her blog. Google + has me stumped...but that's because I get exasperated every time I go there.
