TODAY I AM SAD...AND HAPPY...AND SAD

I'm missing my girls like crazy.

All of these pictures

are of a day-trip

to Cartagena

that we took last month...

with the girls, and Mommy and Daddy

about a week before leaving for FL...

where we are now.

The house hunting is going very well

and we really believe the house we're waiting to hear word about

is the one that was waiting for us.

This one feels 'real'

and as much as I'd love living there...

it's put me in a melancholy mood

because it's more REAL

that I'll be living so far away

from my granddaughters.

I'm not sure how to get my head around

not living near them

and it just hurts.

On the other hand,

I love

and look forward to

the next chapter

of our lives

and look forward

to having the best of both worlds.

For NOW

Since now is all that really is...

I'm going to focus on being thankful

for what and where

I AM.

Create Your Life,

annie!

    1. Thank you Laurie. Sophia has already begun to have a very busy social life. I just really love being there where she can take a break from it all. But then, she's young. She probably doesn't need the break I think she does.

  4. So you are moving back to the states? I can imagine the mixed emotions you are going through. One of the reasons I didn't buy in Chile was because I would be so far from Tatiana and Jon. I think I've made the right choice. However, Colombia is much closer to the US than Chile so I'm sure you can visit often or vice versa. Keep us posted Annie, you are my thoughts daily.

    1. Thank you Constanza. I know I'm only a plane ride away...but that's a bit different than being up two flights of stairs. All will be well. Better than.

  11. Oh, how torn you must feel. Ready for new adventures, but so hard to let go. And being away from your granddaughters must be painful indeed. I guess we are lucky we live in the days of internettechnology where at least you can keep up to speed with them and hopefully talk to them through skype or something like that. Good luck again on the house hunt. By the way, loved the art in your last post.

    1. Thanks so much Caatje! You've described it right. We do have Skype and already when we call, Sophia jumps up and goes off to play and we're left looking at the chair she was in!!! How's that for being missed?!? LOL!!!

  12. hard to be so torn, I can imagine since hubbies kids don't live close, but not as far away as your grand babies. xox

  14. Somehow in this technological world of the internet and computers and cell phones, you will be able to stay 'connected' with your family. It is such a bittersweet transition in your life. The move back to the States also means saying good bye and hello at the same time. Take care, Annie.
