MAMA SPUD

One of my online friends, Mama Spud, of the blog, T'was Brillig and, graciously sent me some of her beautiful hand dyed fabric.

I'm afraid I lost the note that came with them...but I sent her an email to ask how they were done and she replied with the following...

We do sunpainting with the kids at the festivals.  It creates an opportunity to talk to their adults about invasive species, what is in MO and how to remove them.  We like to use art to attract new audiences to learning about clean water and other environmental issues.

I love the leaf patterns and the colors!

I tend to 'save' special gifts before using them so it might be awhile before I use these and at this point I have no idea what I'll make with them but it'll be beautiful...simply because the fabric is!!!

Among many other things...like great sewing, badge making and recipe sharing, C. is also involved in a festival called Race For The Rivers...which teaches children and adults alike more about the environment. I hope you'll visit her website...because she is multi-talented and it's so worth a look.

The rest of the pix are of us flying in to Cartagena last month.

Thank you so much Mama Spud - and kids!

Create Your Life,

annie!

    1. :) The airplane was just about to touch down...or so it seemed to us...and up, up, up and away he went again to circle the city. You should have heard the drama. There was another plane on the runway which gave me a chance to take these pix. :)
