DELIGHTED!

I AM delighted to say that I completed 2 journals last night!!!

All but my signature.

I'm just adding a peek today but there are LOTS more pictures to show you...soon!!! Yeeeee-Haaaawwww!

Came across this painting I'd done in 2k9 while searching for just the right papers to add to my jennibellie style art journals.

I don't know the artist that inspired the painting but I do know it's very similar to the original. If you recognize it...please let me know who. I think it was from a magazine.

I've done a couple pages (shown above and below and in this post) in a round robin altered book which is moderated by Sandra Nestlerode and will bring it back to the States with me when we go IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS NOW!!! wow!!!

Please let me know if you want the book mailed to you so you can add to it!

The last thing I want to show you today just tickles me pink. I went to El Palacio De La Modista to buy some sewing supplies and just have to show you the receipt. (Hilos is thread (the 10 are jumbo spools). Agujas are needles). The bottom line is $54,800 COP which translates (depending on the exchange rate) to roughly 30 bucks. Double WOW!!! I can't TOUCH that amount of thread and needles in the States for that price!!! Well...ok...I can touch it...but you know what  I mean.

That's all for today!

Oh...except this picture of my little artist...

And to tell you that my sweet little record player is getting REALLY tired and playing my albums slooowww...so I'm adding music to MixPod (free) and listening the the totally inspiring Yanni!

PS (I want you to be sure to check out the other artists at Paint Party Friday! Awesome art there!)

    1. Thanks so much Analia! I tried a couple other things on the covers first and was a bit frustrated until I "spied" the flowers which were left over from another project. They made all the difference in the world!

  4. Woman, you are on a roll!! Love love love your journals. I haven't been in the studio for almost a week and I'm starting to get seriously cranky about it. Can't wait to get my hands on some paint again. Your journals are an inspiration (and yes, so are Jennibellie's)

    1. Thank you Caatje! I'm so excited because all of my projects are finally 'coming together'. Love when that happens! On the down side...we still haven't gotten our Visa paperwork completed for our trip of the 28th! Yikes!

Just try to enjoy this 'time off' that you're experiencing. I know something will strike in that beautiful brain of yours and you'll be at it again in no time!

    1. Thank you Sweet Pie! I honestly can't say what the program is...but it's on Disney Kids channel...I think. I do handwork when she insists on watching cartoons...even though she doesn't 'watch'. When I looked at the picture, I was disappointed in myself for not taking my sewing project out of my lap and moving to get a better background. It IS very distracting!!!

  13. Delightfull journals indeed! Lovely details with the flowers and the beads.
PS: on the telly, it is a scene from The Wizards of Waberly Place. Those are the three siblings Max, Alex (girl, Selena Gomez) and Justin. It´s the episode when Alex´s boyfriend ate someone and they had to be made small and go rescue him. Long winded story about the cow suites. :D

I know what you mean about the receipt. Last year we were in Uruguay and one day we spent 500,00 Uruguayan Dollars for dinner. We were 5 people and in Euros they were roughly 30Euros!!
